We found this restaurant by accident as we were visiting friends in the Sheraton Hotel. The restaurant is in the hotel compound in a separate building just a block from the lake. Normally, if you are at Lake Como you would want to dine directly on the Lake because it is heavenly. Ristorante Kitchen is worth deviating and dining in their most beautiful gardens. Our table was divine — lovely mini-sofa each to sit on, with plump cushions, next to a window, with great views of the restaurant's garden and onto the Lake as well.

The food and service were outstanding. We had  the foie gras (very well done), scallops, button pasta stuffed with cheese, veal chop and dentice gibbos (like a sea bass). All of it was excellent. For dessert we split a raspberry chocolate mousse that was outstanding.

The waiter recommended great wines for each course. The wine list had good choices for all budgets. Service was faultless — great attention to detail and whats lovely, is that your courses aren't rushed and you can eat and digest your food with comfort, without feeling rushed by the servers. Great relaxing evening.
